Teaching Policy

Instructor’s Rights:
Parents are welcome to observe the first piano lesson.  The instructor and/or the parent will determine if the student is ready and motivated after the first lesson.  The instructor reserves the right to refuse piano lessons to any students.
Minimum Requirements
Each student is required to attend at least one 60 minute lessons or one 45 minute lesson each week.

  • The instructor will recommend a list of piano lesson books that each student will have to purchase.
  • Each student is encouraged to practice his or her lessons for at least 30 minutes daily.  Piano practice/homework will be assigned after each lesson.

Monthly Payment Schedule
Tuition is due before the first lesson.  Subsequent payments are due the first lesson of each month for the entire month.
Scheduled Lessons
For scheduled changes, the student must request three days in advance to reschedule a lesson, or two weeks in advance for vacation notices.  Late arrivals/no shows will not be made up or credited.  Each student must be prompt for all scheduled lessons.
Recitals
There are usually one student recital and one annual test each year.  The recital and test in the given month will take the place of one scheduled lesson for that month.
